Why I chose rustic wedding picture frames for my special day
When it comes to weddings, every single detail has to be perfect and the rustic wedding picture frames I chose were one of my favourite finishing touches. From the table plan to the chair covers to the confetti colours, I’ve loved pulling together ideas for my dream rustic wedding. There are a number of cute and creative ways that you can use picture frames at your wedding and some of the ideas I used might be perfect for your special day too. From photo booth props to table plans, using beautiful picture frames at your wedding is a great way to frame the day.
Table plan
A table plan is so important at a wedding – every single person looks at it and it is a fabulous opportunity to get creative and come up with a unique focal point. For my table plan, I was inspired by rustic wedding picture frames which complemented my romantic wedding feel. In order to create the perfect table plan, I chose a large stylish picture frame which matched my wedding colours and looked fabulous in the room. It’s worth choosing a big frame so that you have enough room to fit in all the different tables, and experimenting with layouts before you decide on a final design. There are a number of stylish ways you can list each table, from vintage luggage labels to a high end printed design. If there is space on the walls, you can hang your picture frame wedding table plan, or if not you could use an easel or stand.
Table numbers
A gorgeous picture frame is a perfect way to display your table numbers. Whether you’re going for traditional numbered tables or naming them after your favourite songs, holiday destinations or flowers, it’s important everyone can see which table they are seated at. By choosing beautiful, intricate frames like the
Ornate Cushion White Frame you can create a beautiful centrepiece which complements whatever table decor you have chosen. These stunning white frames looked perfect surrounded by flowers. You could use the same frame if you’re going for a classy coordinated wedding, or for a quirky relaxed wedding, a mismatch of frames also works well.
Signs
Using signs in your wedding is a gorgeous way to share information with your guests as well as lovely messages to you and your loved ones. They also provide beautiful photo opportunities – a photo of the bride and groom holding a ‘Mr and Mrs’ sign is one of my favourites. I also used rustic wedding picture frames to create blackboards where my guests could leave messages, which was a really fun idea that everyone loved. Framed lyrics from your favourite songs or quotes from your favourite books are another unique way you can add your personality to your day. A large picture frame is great for your order of service too. Making sure your guests know the wedding schedule and what’s going on is so important and displaying this information in a beautiful frame where everyone can see it makes the day run a lot smoother!
Picture frame guest book
Instead of a standard guest book, I wanted something I could display in my home that I could keep forever. I love the idea of a picture frame guest book, and I chose the beautiful
Atlas Spoon Gold Frame because of its timeless design and classic gold finish. With a space in the middle left for a wedding photo to be added after the day, guests were encouraged to write messages around the space, creating a beautiful work of art made up of well wishes and treasured memories that will hang in my home forever. You can set up your picture frame wedding guest book on a table with pens for guests to come to or you can hand it around for everyone to sign. From funny cartoons of the wedding cake to little ones writing their names in messy handwriting to beautiful sentiments from treasured family members, I love my picture frame guest book and it always brings back happy memories.
Wedding decor
A wedding is the perfect place to celebrate you as a couple and share some of your favourite memories with your loved ones. I decided to use a range of rustic wedding picture frames around my evening venue with photos that we love. From childhood pictures to recent engagement photos, this is a lovely way to add some personality to your wedding and incorporate your love story into the room. You can also use empty frames hanging from the ceiling for a bold design feature; flowers hung in these also look amazing and it is a great way to use your ceiling space to create a magical feel for your special day. You can also drape fairly lights around the frames for a beautiful photo backdrop that makes for stunning romantic photos with lovely soft lighting. Vintage photographs from your parents’ or grandparents’ weddings are another beautiful way to use picture frames at your wedding. You can also give them as gifts after the day as a memento.
Photo booth
A photo booth is a really fun addition to any wedding. You can hire them from specialised companies, but if you want to do a DIY one like I did, then you can create something totally unique to you. Start collecting props like funny hats and big sunglasses or use a picture frame blackboard so that guests can hold up messages they’ve written for you. You’ll need a Polaroid camera if you want your guests to be able to take photos home or if you love technology, then set up a wedding hashtag and get your guests to tag their photobooth pictures with it on social media. Again, you can use rustic wedding picture frames in your photobooth for really gorgeous photos. Get guests to hold up the frame and pose like they are in a painting for cute and quirky wedding photos of your nearest and dearest.
